Shopping in Nashville TN

Aug 4

Nashville is a city that prides itself on its food, music and history. But it also has a great variety of shops and boutiques that are perfect for the fashionista in you. From a cute lingerie shop called Hot Pink to the luxury boutiques in the Mall at Green Hills, there’s something for everyone in Nashville TN. Sculpt your body with CoolSculpting in Nashville TN.

The downtown district is a hub for shopping, especially at Fifth + Broadway, which is a massive complex of restaurants and stores. Some highlights include ARIAT (men’s and women’s footwear/apparel), Levi’s, Free People, and Sephora.

In the twentieth century, Nashville struggled with many of the same public issues that the rest of the country did, including prohibition and the loss of its male citizens to World War I. But the city’s economy diversified and became more service oriented, with the growth of health care services, tourism, and publishing and printing. The state legislature shifted from Knoxville to Nashville in the late 1920s because of a growing population and improved road, rail, and water connections.

The L + L Market is a boutique shopping area that’s perfect for spending the day wandering and browsing with friends or family. The mall is Nashville’s largest and includes a mix of high-end luxury brands as well as casual everyday retail stores. The best part about the L + L is that it’s entirely local, with vendors like Stacey Rhodes offering a selection of lines not found in other Nashville stores, and Parlour 3 offering a cosmetic junkie’s dream.

Another great spot for shopping in Nashville is the quaint historic shopping district known as the Five Points area. This little cluster of shops is home to many of the best boutiques in town, including Goodbuy Girls (a lingerie shop), Fanny’s House of Music (a place where your garage band could walk in with nothing and leave with everything they need to make their debut), and White’s Mercantile, which channels the mercantile spirit of old with antique tables and repurposed barrels stacked with books, hats, mugs, and other locally made goods.

If you’re a fan of Reese Witherspoon’s preppy lifestyle brand, check out the Nashville flagship store, which is as adorably designed on the outside as the items stocked inside. The store is right by the “I Believe in Nashville” mural you’ve likely seen all over your Instagram feed, making it the perfect place to snap a pic of your new feminine gingham frock or prepster-approved tote bag.

In the past year or so, Nashville has seen a lot of pop-up restaurants turn into permanent places, one of the most notable being Xiao Bao, which was a pool party-themed pop-up that has now found a home in East Nashville that looks like it might have been the original Dive Motel. This cozy, Parisian-inspired eatery offers one of the most unique menus in the city, along with a brunch that’s top-notch and worth a return visit.
